I have so many organizations and individual people to thank that I don't really know where to begin! I am sincerely grateful to everyone who has either helped and encouraged me directly, or has voiced support for what I am trying to achieve. I also want to show my special appreciation for the extraordinary support I have received from the following organizations.

Women’s Sports Foundation
The Women’s Sports Foundation is an educational nonprofit (501(c)(3) charity) organization founded in 1974 by tennis legend Billie Jean King so that girls following in her footsteps would not have to face the barriers she faced playing sports. In October 2003, I was invited to attend the foundation’s Annual Awards in Sport Banquet in New York as an honored athlete. It was such a thrill to be with so many great athletes and inspirational women who are committed to equality in sports. Please visit their web site to learn more about the foundation: www.womenssportsfoundation.org. |

USABA
I am a proud member of the United States Association of Blind Athletes (USABA) and am deeply appreciative of the support they have offered me in my career and for so many other visually impaired athletes. Since its founding in 1976, the USABA has reached over 100,000 blind individuals. During that time, the organization has emerged as more than just a world-class trainer of blind athletes, it has become a vocal champion of the abilities of America's legally blind residents. Please visit www.usaba.org to learn more about this wonderful organization. |

The Iditarod Trail Committee
In September 2003, and in the spirit of inclusion and equality, the Iditarod Trail Committee approved my request for special accomodations. I am so grateful for this opportunity to realize my lifelong dream of competing in the Iditarod.
